Hiking can earn you an immediate and intimate discovery of a land and its people and our active adventure in the Italian Alps does just that.
You'll be awed by the grandeur of the pale gray and gold spires and massifs that form this mountain chain and charmed by the ambience of the villages we visit.
HOLY COW
Mike and Amy booked a hiking trip through REI adventures. They went to a part of Italy known as the Dolomite Alps.
They hiked in Braies National Park and the Ampezzo Dolomites, known as the best hiking in the Alps.
Then spent a few days in the picturesque jet-set resort town of Cortina, and finally Venice.
Mike and Amy conquered Mt Paterno using the via ferrata passages created and used by the Italian army in World War I.
Very scenic lake at the base of the mountains.
